History

Tomiyoshi Station is a station on the Kintetsu (Kinki Nippon Railway) Nagoya Line, located in 1-chōme, Tomiyoshi, Kanie, Ama District, Aichi Prefecture, newly opened on 10 December 1964 between Kintetsu-Kanie and Sakogi. It carries station number E09, and because the Tomiyoshi Rolling Stock Depot adjoins the station, many trains are scheduled to start or terminate here. PiTaPa service began on 1 April 2007, and on 11 January 2014 the address notation changed following a revision of Kanie's district names and lot numbers. It is a ground-level station with two island platforms serving four tracks that allows overtaking, and has an overbridge station building; the boundary between Kanie and Aisai runs through the station grounds, with a small part of the platform and the train crew depot building lying on the Aisai side.

Notes

The boundary between Kanie and Aisai runs through the station grounds, with most of the station and the rolling stock depot located in Kanie and a small part of the platform and the train crew depot building located in Aisai, giving the station a structure that straddles two municipalities.
