Location

History

Ōsu Kannon Station opened on 18 March 1977 as a station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Tsurumai Line. Before opening it was provisionally called "Nishi-Ōsu Station," but out of consideration for local residents' familiarity with the area it opened instead as "Ōsu Kannon Station," named after the nearby Ōsu Kannon temple. Platform doors began operating on 12 May 2025. The station is administered by the Tsurumai Line station office's Kamimaezu district station, and sees heavy use by tourists and shoppers as the western gateway to the Ōsu shopping district.

Notes

Of the station's four exits, the former Exit 1 was converted into an elevator-only exit, so the number 1 is now a missing number in the exit numbering.
