Location
History
Fushimi Station opened on 15 November 1957 as Fushimichō Station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line. It was renamed Fushimi Station on 1 June 1966, and became a transfer station when the Tsurumai Line station opened on 18 March 1977. The Tsurumai Line's extension to Jōshin Station on 27 November 1981 made its station here an intermediate stop as well. Manaca came into use on 11 February 2011; platform doors began operating on the Higashiyama Line on 1 November 2015 and on the Tsurumai Line on 7 April 2025. "Yorimachi FUSHIMI," the Nagoya Municipal Subway's first in-station commercial facility, opened on 11 December 2019, and a new ground-level connecting elevator entered service on 12 February 2026.
Notes
The Higashiyama Line platform lies just 5.3 meters below ground, the shallowest underground platform on the Nagoya Municipal Subway.
