History

Odai Station (SA 11) is a Toden Arakawa Line tram stop in Nishi-Ogu 5-chōme, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo. It opened on 1 April 1913 when the Ōji Electric Tramway opened its section between Mi-no-wa (now Mi-no-wabashi) and Asukayama-shita (now Kajiwara), became part of the Tokyo City Tramway on 1 February 1942 when the Ōji Electric Tramway was sold to Tokyo City, and joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Tramway (Toden) on 1 July 1943 when the metropolitan-government system was introduced.

Notes

Despite its name, Odai Station is in Arakawa-ku — the actual Odai district lies across the Sumida River in Adachi-ku, reachable by walking across the Odai-bashi bridge. Adachi-Odai Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner is in Adachi-ku's Odai, but is well separated from this tram stop.
