History

Hinaga Station opened on 18 February 1912, built by the Aichi Electric Railway. It became a station of Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) when Aichi Electric Railway merged with Meigi Railway on 1 August 1935. It is located at Hinaga, Chita City, Aichi Prefecture, and its station number is TA15. The station was unstaffed on 1 September 1970, after which a contracted woman sold tickets from the station building for several years. Tranpass was introduced on 15 January 2005, the "manaca" IC card became usable on 11 February 2011, and Tranpass use ended on 29 February 2012. It is an at-grade station with two opposing side platforms serving two tracks, unstaffed and remotely managed from Tokoname Station via the station centralized-management system.

Notes

Because both platforms have an effective length of only four cars, trains of six cars or more that stop at the station have some doors kept closed. It is also the least-used of the 25 stations on the Tokoname and Airport lines.
