History

Hayuka Station opened on 15 March 1927 as a station of the Kotohira Electric Railway. It became a station of the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad's Kotohira Line through a company merger on 1 November 1943, and remains so today. It is located in Hayukashimo, Ayagawa-chō, Ayauta District, Kagawa Prefecture, station number K16. Toward Kotoden-Kotohira, the municipal boundary with Marugame City (former Ayauta-chō) lies nearby. The station has only one side platform and one track, with the entrance facing a level crossing on the Takinomiya side. A pit-type (non-flush) toilet was once installed, but it was later removed.
