History

Shirousagi Station opened on 16 December 1989 as a station on the Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line. It is located in Shirousagi, Nagai City, Yamagata Prefecture, and is a ground-level station with a single side platform serving one track, with a waiting room on the platform. It lies near the Mogami River and a trailhead for Hayama Forest Park, and is a small intermediate station on the Nagai Line, situated between Uzen-Narita and Koguwa stations. It is a relatively new station dating from after the Yamagata Railway's establishment, and has been unstaffed ever since it opened.
