Location

History

Shiogamaguchi Station opened on 1 October 1978 as a station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Tsurumai Line, in Shiogamaguchi, Tenpaku-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. On 11 September 2000 the tracks were flooded in the Tōkai Heavy Rain disaster, and platform doors began operating on 29 December 2025. It is an underground station on a curve, with a single island platform serving two tracks; because a gap forms between the platform and the train, a dedicated announcement warns passengers of this. It has one ticket gate and three exits, and is administered by the Tsurumai Line station office's Yagoto district station.

Notes

Because of the nearby Meijō University Tenpaku Campus, the station's signage adds "Meijō Daigaku-mae" as a secondary station name.
