Location
History
Shin-Urayasu Station opened on 1 December 1988 as a stop on the JR East Keiyō Line, situated 16.1 km from Tokyo Station. The atré Shin-Urayasu retail complex beneath the station's elevated tracks opened on 26 February 1993, and Suica acceptance began on 18 November 2001. An additional "Atré" ticket gate, connecting directly to the complex, was added on 7 December 2002, and departure melodies were introduced on 25 August 2006. Station numbering was rolled out in 2016, assigning the code JE08, and a STATION BOOTH shared workspace opened inside the gates on 27 November 2020.
Notes
The Atré ticket gate, opened on 7 December 2002, connects the station directly with atré Shin-Urayasu, the retail complex that occupies two floors beneath the station's elevated tracks.
