Location
History
Ōeyamaguchi-Naikū Station was established on 16 July 1988, at the same time as the opening of the Miyafuku Railway's (now Kita Kinki Tango Railway) Miyafuku Line. With the transfer to WILLER TRAINS on 1 April 2015, it became a station of the Kyoto Tango Railway's Miyafuku Line. Its nickname, given by the Fukuchiyama City Railway Usage Promotion Council, is 'Motoise-Naikū Station,' after Kōtai Jinja (Motoise Naikū), the shrine near the station that also gave the station its name. It is an unstaffed station with an island platform serving two tracks, allowing trains to pass each other; there is no station building, and passengers reach the platform directly by a staircase at the foot of the embankment. It has a single-line-through layout with platform 1 serving as the up-and-down main line, but because the platform is curved, even passing trains are subject to an 85 km/h speed limit.
Notes
Although platform 1 serves as the up-and-down main line in a single-track-through layout, the curved platform imposes an 85 km/h speed limit even on passing trains.
