Location
History
Noma Station opened as a terminus of the Nagoya Railroad Chita New Line in Mihama, Chita District, Aichi Prefecture, on 4 April 1976. It was unstaffed from opening and became a through-station on 5 June 1980, when the Chita New Line was extended to Utsumi Station. At the time of the extension, a station named Onoura was planned between this station and Utsumi Station, but it was never built. Tranpass was introduced in July 2007, and the manaca IC card came into use in February 2011. In the timetable revision of 18 March 2023, Track 2 was closed, and the station was reduced from two opposed platforms serving two tracks to a single platform serving one track.
Notes
The usable platform length is only six car-lengths, so on eight-car trains the doors of the rear two cars are kept closed.
