Location
History
Nakakomono Station, in Suginoki, Ōaza Komono, Komono, Mie District, Mie Prefecture, opened on 1 June 1913 with the opening of the Yokkaichi Railway between Kawashima-mura (now Ise-Kawashima) and Yunoyama (now Yunoyama-Onsen). Service was discontinued in February 1918 but resumed in April 1927; the station passed to the Mie Railway in 1931, Mie Kōtsū in 1944, Mie Electric Railway in 1964, and the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line in 1965. In March 1964 the track gauge was converted from 762 mm to 1,435 mm, and the overhead line voltage was raised to 1,500 V DC. The station was unstaffed in November 2012. It is a ground-level station with an island platform serving two tracks, where trains can pass each other.
