Location
History
Kōzu Station opened on 11 July 1887 in what is now Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture. With the dissolution and privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, Kōzu became a border station jointly controlled by JR East and JR Central. It is served by both the Tōkaidō Main Line and the Gotemba Line and sits 77.7 kilometres from Tokyo Station, with one side platform and two island platforms serving five tracks connected to the station building by a footbridge, and a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office. Some Shōnan-Shinjuku Line services also stop here.
Notes
Kōzu is a border station: with the dissolution and privatisation of Japanese National Railways in 1987 it came under the joint control of JR East and JR Central, so the operating boundary between the two companies runs through the station itself.
