Location

History

Kimi Station is an elevated station of West Japan Railway Company (JR West), opened on 20 March 1988 at the same time as the opening of the Honshi-Bisan Line (Seto-Ōhashi Line). It is located at Kimi, Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, and is operated as an unstaffed station managed by Kojima Station. The IC card "ICOCA" became usable in September 2007, and a simplified automatic ticket gate was installed in July of the same year. Platform-raising work (from 920 mm to 1,100 mm) was completed in March 2009, advancing barrier-free accessibility. Because it has no turnouts or absolute signals, it is classified as a halt for operational purposes.
