History
Jieitai-Mae Station opened on 16 December 1971 with the inauguration of the Sapporo Municipal Subway Nanboku Line from Kita-Nijūyojō to Makomanai, and carries the station number N15. It is one of only four above-ground stations on the network, all on the southern Nanboku Line. A connecting track south of the station feeds the South Train Depot, so several morning trains from Asabu terminate here before being returned to the depot for stabling. Until 14 September 2014 a "Nanboku Line Crew District" office was attached, after which crew change-overs moved to Ōdōri Station. Platform-edge doors entered service on 19 February 2013, and a 2015–16 programme renewed elevators and seismically strengthened the structure.
Notes
In FY2020 Jieitai-Mae averaged 2,432 boarders per day, the lowest figure of any station on the Nanboku Line and on the entire Sapporo Municipal Subway network.
