History
Isoyama Station opened on 10 September 1915 as a station on the Ise Railway, located in what is today the city of Suzuka, Mie Prefecture. The line became the Sangu Express Electric Railway's Ise Line on 15 September 1936 and was renamed the Nagoya Line on 7 December 1938. After merging with Osaka Electric Kido (Daiki) on 15 March 1941, the line operated as the Kansai Express Railway's Nagoya Line, before further consolidation with the Nankai Electric Railway on 1 June 1944 created the present-day Kintetsu (Kinki Nippon Railway). The station has two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing, with no staff on duty, and sits 56.0 rail km from the line's terminus at Kintetsu-Nagoya.
Notes
Kintetsu has run the line through Isoyama only since 1944; in the eight years before that it changed hands three times — from the Ise Railway to the Sangū Express Electric Railway in 1936, on to the Kansai Express Railway in 1941, and finally to Kintetsu in 1944 — while the route itself was renamed from the Ise Line to the Nagoya Line in 1938.
