Location
History
Iharanosato Station opened on 1 April 1952 between Tsuruhara and Izumisano on the Nankai Main Line. The name was taken from Ihara-no-shō, the old name of the Kamikawaraya district on the hillside above the station. Station numbering NK29 was introduced on 1 April 2012. The original station building stood only on the Namba-bound platform; a second building on the Wakayama-shi-bound platform entered service in 2020. Both buildings stand at the Namba end of their platforms, and passengers move between the platforms via an in-station level crossing.
Notes
Osaka Prefectural Route 20 passes north of the station, and the name of its intersection with Osaka Prefectural Route 204 (the former National Route 26) is written 井原の里駅下り, spelling the station's name with an extra particle no that its official form, 井原里, does not have.
