Location
History
Hirose-dōri Station is a station on the Sendai Municipal Subway Namboku Line, opened on 15 July 1987, located at Honchō 2-chōme, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. Its station number is N09. It has an island platform serving two tracks beneath Hirose-dōri Avenue, with the concourse on basement level 1 and the platform on basement level 2. It was selected as one of the "100 Notable Stations of Tōhoku" in 2002, platform screen doors came into operation on 13 December 2009, and the "icsca" IC farecard was introduced on 6 December 2014. A Seven Bank ATM was installed on 30 October 2017.
Notes
The west concourse features a "Starry Sky Promenade" on its ceiling and walls, evoking a night sky; this design was recognized in the station's selection for the Tohoku 100 Selected Stations.
