History

Hakunōkōkōmae Station is a station on the Kōnan Railway's Kōnan Line (nicknamed the "Rice-paddy Railway"), opened on 23 June 1980 to coincide with the relocation of Aomori Prefectural Kashiwagi Agricultural High School from the center of the former Hiraka Town to its present site. It is an at-grade station with a single side platform serving one track, treated as unstaffed all day, though a ticket sales window is set up on the platform. The waiting room has been painted red by high-school students and residents along the line, with Mount Iwaki depicted on its windows.
