History

Hainuzuka Station is a passenger railway station on the Kagoshima Main Line operated by JR Kyushu, located in the city of Chikugo, Fukuoka Prefecture, 126.1 kilometres from the line's Mojiko terminus. The station opened on 1 April 1891 as an intermediate stop when the private Kyushu Railway extended its line southward. When the Kyushu Railway was nationalised on 1 July 1907 the station passed to Japanese Government Railways. Privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 transferred control to JR Kyushu.
