History
Family-Kōemmae Station opened newly on 1 July 1979 as a temporary station operating only during the summer pool season, between Hirahata and Yūzaki on the Kintetsu Kashihara Line. It became a permanent station on 28 November 1985, though initially it operated only during daytime hours. It began operating until the last train in 1989, and became a full-day, ordinary station on 21 September 1993. PiTaPa was introduced on 1 April 2007. It has two opposed platforms serving two tracks, and functions as the access station for the nearby Nara Prefectural Mahoroba Health Park and Swim Pia Nara.
Notes
It is the station with the lowest ridership on the Kashihara Line, and for several years after opening it operated only as a temporary station during the summer pool season.
