History

Enza Station opened on 21 December 1926 as a station of the Kotohira Electric Railway. It became a station of the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad's Kotohira Line through a company merger on 1 November 1943. New ramp construction was completed on 28 February 2006, making the station barrier-free. It is located in Enzachō, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, station number K09. It has one side platform and one track; the remains of a disused platform survive as a trace of the station's original capability for train exchange. It is now unstaffed, equipped with a pole-type simplified automatic ticket machine.

Notes

Although Enza is now a single-track halt, the remains of its disused opposing platform are still visible — a relic of when this stop functioned as a passing loop.
