History
Azumada Stop opened on 14 July 1925 on what is now the Toyohashi Railroad Azumada Main Line. It carries stop number 10 and is located in Azumada-chō, Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture. The stop is unique on the Azumada Main Line in lacking conventional safety zones — the loading positions in both directions are set short of the adjacent intersection, because a stop sited beyond it would leave road vehicles standing inside the intersection.
Notes
To warn drivers, the road surface at the boarding zone is painted in a different colour and each tram carries a "boarding" lamp to alert vehicles that passengers are getting on or off.
