History

Ajiyoshi Station is a stop on the Meitetsu Komaki Line (station number KM11) in Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture, operated by Nagoya Railroad. It opened on 11 February 1931 with a single platform serving one track. Before 1957, a passing loop was added, converting it into two opposing side platforms serving two tracks. On 1 April 1979, double-tracking between Toyoyama signal station and Ajiyoshi reshaped the station into a single island platform serving two tracks. The current layout, two opposing side platforms with a third-generation station building, dates to 27 June 2020, when the older island platform and its footbridge were retired. The unstaffed station is remotely managed, with automated ticket machines and fare-adjustment machines at each platform's gate.

Notes

An unrelated, unaffiliated station of the same name, on the JR Central Transport Service's Johoku Line and run by a different company, sits about 700 meters from Ajiyoshi Station.
