History

Zuiko Yonchome Station opened on 24 December 2006 as a station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Imazatosuji Line, in the Higashiyodogawa ward of Osaka. The official station name was settled earlier that year on 10 July. On 1 April 2018 the operator changed when the Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau was reorganised as the private-sector Osaka Metro. The station consists of a single underground island platform serving two tracks, with platform-edge gates installed from the day of opening. Its station number is I12, and it is one of the closest stations to Osaka University of Economics as well as Kami-Shinjo Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line.
