History

Yabuzuka Station opened on 19 March 1913 on the Tōbu Kiryū Line. It is a ground-level station with two side platforms serving two tracks and retains a wooden station building; the platforms are set out in an unusual arrangement in which the up- and down-line platforms are not directly opposite each other. Station numbering arrived on 17 March 2012, when Yabuzuka was designated TI-53. The forecourt was rebuilt with a bicycle parking refit and a roundabout. The station is served by the Tōbu Kiryū Line's "Ryōmō" and "Revaty Ryōmō" limited expresses as well as local trains, and is the nearest railway stop to Yabuzuka Onsen.
