History
Uchijuku Station opened on 22 August 1990 as the terminus of the Saitama New Urban Transit Ina Line (New Shuttle) in Ina, Kita-Adachi-gun, Saitama. Because of land-acquisition disputes, full opening of the line lagged behind the first stage between Ōmiya and Hanuki; the planning name had been Kobari Station before construction. The Suica IC card became usable on 18 March 2007, and lifts were installed on 12 December 2007. On 17 July 2010, following the previous day's land readjustment under the Ina land-reorganisation project, the station's address was updated to 3-chōme Uchijuku-dai. It is an elevated station with a single island platform and two tracks, and carries station code NS13.
Notes
The Hanuki–Uchijuku section opened well behind the rest of the line because of problems acquiring the land along its route.
