Location
History
Tsukisamu-Chūō Station opened on 14 October 1994 as part of the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tōhō Line extension from Hōsui-Susukino to Fukuzumi, and carries the station number H13. It sits beneath National Route 36 in the existing Tsukisamu district of Toyohira-ku, Sapporo. A new bicycle parking area opened on 18 August 2005 behind Exit 3, allowing the older facility next to the Tsukisamu Gymnasium to be closed. The fare gates were upgraded to fully card-compatible machines on 29 January 2007, with an additional wheelchair-accessible gate added at the same time, and platform-edge doors entered service on 21 September 2016.
Notes
The single-arch Tsukisamu Tunnel between Tsukisamu-Chūō and Misono is Sapporo Municipal Subway's first NATM-built tunnel, with no central support pillar between the two tracks.
