History

Tsukinowa Station opened on 26 March 2002 in the town of Namegawa, Saitama, as an infill stop on Tōbu Railway's Tōjō Line between Shinrin-kōen and Musashi-Ranzan. Construction began in November 2000, and the station name was confirmed in October 2001. It is a ground-level station with two opposed side platforms and an overhead station building, and departure melodies were introduced on 20 January 2010. Station numbering TJ-31 was applied with the Tōjō Line numbering rollout on 17 March 2012. The area around the station has been shaped by Tōbu's neighbouring "Furansa" residential development, with housing and shops steadily increasing nearby.

Notes

Until Minami-Yorii Station opened in October 2020, Tsukinowa was the newest stop on the Tojo Line, eighteen years after its own opening.
