History
Tsukaguchi Station opened on 16 July 1920, when predecessor Hanshin Kyuko Dentetsu launched its original Kobe Main Line and Itami Line branch. Automatic ticket gates were installed on 15 September 1973, and rapid-express, commuter-limited-express and commuter-express trains began stopping here between 1987 and 1995. Station number HK-06 was assigned on 21 December 2013. A 17 December 2022 revision replaced rapid-express stops with semi-limited-express service, and a 22 February 2025 revision ended commuter-express stops. The station has one side platform and one island platform, three tracks in total, linked by two underground passages; movable platform screen doors began operating on the Kobe Line side in 2026. It is a Kobe Main Line and Itami Line interchange in Amagasaki, Hyōgo Prefecture.
Notes
From 1968 to 1991 the platform had a "commuter-only exit" that only employees of the nearby Mitsubishi Electric Itami Works could use, on condition they carried a commuter pass and wore the company badge.
