Location
History
Tōya Station opened on 10 September 1928 as Abuta Station, in what is now the town of Tōyako, and was renamed Tōya on 1 November 1962. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, control passed to the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido). It is served by the Muroran Main Line and carries station number H41; National Routes 37 and 230 pass nearby, and Lake Tōya, Mount Usu and Hokkaido Abuta High School lie in the surrounding area.
