History
Tōsō Station is a Kagoshima City Tram Tōsō Line tram stop in Kōrimoto 1-chōme, Kagoshima, serving Route 2. The stop was opened on 29 March 1957 by the Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau. From 1 January 2023, naming-rights partner Komaki Kensetsu added the sub-name "Tōsō (Komaki Kensetsu-mae)". It is an at-grade stop with two opposed side platforms, which passengers may cross between whenever a tram is not passing; neither manual nor powered wheelchairs can be used, because the platform width falls short of the regulation minimum. The stop is unstaffed, and tickets are not sold on site. The closest major institution is Kagoshima University — the agriculture, joint veterinary, engineering and science faculties are all nearby.
