History

Tōkaichiba Station, in the city of Tsuru, Yamanashi, opened on 19 June 1929. It is served by the privately operated Fujikyuko Line, which links Ōtsuki and Kawaguchiko. On 1 April 2022, Fujikyu split off its railway business, and operation of the line passed to Fujisan Roku Denki Tetsudo (Fujikyu Railway). Suica IC card service was introduced on 14 March 2015. The unstaffed, ground-level station has one side platform beside a single track worked in both directions, plus a waiting room but no ticket vending machine.

Notes

A stone monument near a bridge just downstream from the station, close to Tahara Falls, is inscribed with a haiku attributed to the poet Matsuo Bashō.
