History

Todoroki Station opened on 13 December 1934 as a stop on the Gonō Line, serving the coastal town of Fukaura in Aomori Prefecture. The station became part of the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) network after the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987. Set 76.0 km from the line's starting point at Higashi-Noshiro, it consists of a single side platform with a small wooden building erected directly on the platform. The station is unattended and is served by only five trains in each direction per day.
