History

Teppōchō Station is a stop on the Iyotetsu Jōhoku Line in Teppōchō, Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, with stop number 13. It is used by city tram (Matsuyama City Line) routes 1 and 2. It opened on 3 April 1927. In 1951, a passing track was added on the north side when the Jōhoku Line's operating interval was changed from 15 to 10 minutes to increase capacity. Tablet block working was abolished sometime before October 1971.

Notes

Teppōchō Station is a passing stop with two opposed platforms and two tracks, with platforms long enough for two-car trains to stop simultaneously. This dates from the facility upgrade that accompanied the 1951 shortening of the Jōhoku Line's operating interval from 15 to 10 minutes.
