Location

History

Tatsumi Station opened on 8 June 1988 in Tatsumi, Kōtō, Tokyo, as part of the Eidan (Teito Rapid Transit Authority) Yūrakuchō Line. It is an underground station with a single island platform serving two tracks, designed around a woodland motif inspired by the nearby Tatsumi-no-Mori Greenway Park, with forest-themed panels around the ticket gates and platform name boards. Operation transferred to Tokyo Metro on 1 April 2004 when Eidan was privatised. IC card use through PASMO began on 18 March 2007, and platform-edge doors entered service on 23 November 2013. The station carries the line number Y-23.

Notes

The Shin-Kiba end of the station was driven through soft ground beneath the adjacent Tatsumi-no-Mori Greenway Park by the pneumatic caisson method, five caissons being sunk over a length of 133.05 metres; caissons 1 to 4, of 26.25 to 28.5 metres, carry the station structure and track, while caisson 5 forms a 15.8-metre shaft section.
