History

Tamba-Takeda Station opened on 15 July 1899 as Takeda Station on what is now the Fukuchiyama Line. It was renamed to its present name on 1 November 1911. The station passed to JR West with the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987. The unstaffed station consists of two opposed ground-level side platforms connected to the station building by a footbridge, 98.2 km from the Fukuchiyama Line's terminus at Amagasaki.

Notes

The station opened in 1899 simply as Takeda Station, taking its present name Tamba-Takeda on 1 November 1911.
