History
Takii Station opened on 14 October 1931, when the Keihan Electric Railway section between Gamō (now Kyōbashi) and Moriguchi (now Moriguchi-shi) was converted to a dedicated right-of-way. The station was established mainly to serve the affiliated hospital of the Osaka Women's Higher Medical College (now Kansai Medical University), which Keihan had attracted to the area the previous year. The section was quadrupled on 29 December 1933; the station became one of Keihanshin Express Railway through the wartime merger of 1943, and reverted to Keihan Electric Railway with the 1949 separation. In 1993 the platform was extended to accommodate eight-car trains, and a temporary ticket gate was also added at the west exit. In 2002, two wheelchair-accessible elevators and a multipurpose restroom were installed. Its station number is KH09.
Notes
It is only about 400 meters from each of the neighboring Doi and Senbayashi stations, and both can be seen from the platform.
