History
Takashina Station opened on 25 March 1989 with the extension of the Tarumi Railway's Tarumi Line from Kōmi Station to Tarumi Station. It is located at Tanigumi-Takashina, Ibigawa-chō, Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture, with station number TR14. It is a petitioned station requested by Tanigumi village (now Ibigawa-chō), which bore the full ¥5 million construction cost. It is a ground-level station with a single side platform serving one track; there is no station building, but the unstaffed station has a log-cabin-style waiting shelter on the platform. Because the Tarumi Line crosses the Neo River repeatedly, the surrounding stations' locations are scattered, but this station, together with Tanigumiguchi Station two stations away across Kōmi Station, is one of only two stations on the line located within Ibigawa-chō.
Notes
In autumn 2024, the station was visited for the Gifu Prefecture episode of the NHK BS program Nippon Jūdan: Kokoro Tabi, and traveler Shōei read a letter aloud on the platform.
