Location

History

Takamatsu Station opened on 27 November 1998, when the Tama Toshi Monorail Line's Kamikitadai–Tachikawa-Kita section entered service; at the planning stage it had been provisionally called Shin-Takamatsu (New Takamatsu) Station. Located in Tachikawa, Tokyo, it is an elevated station with two opposed side platforms and two tracks, and was assigned the station number TT13 when numbering was introduced in February 2018. The monorail operator's headquarters and vehicle depot sit just northwest of the station. From the June 2009 timetable revision — timed to the relocation of national research institutes and court buildings to the area — some weekday trains that had previously started or terminated at Tachikawa-Kita Station were instead extended to start or terminate here.

Notes

A Tachikawa Bus route — the Tachihi loop line — passes directly beneath the elevated station, yet has no stop there.
