Location

History

Taisei Station opened on 1 November 1986 as a stop on the Nemuro Main Line in the Kasai District town of Memuro, 32.3 km from the Shintoku starting point of the line. Built late in the Japanese National Railways era, it consists of a single bidirectional track served by one side platform. Five months after opening, JNR was privatised on 1 April 1987 and the station passed to JR Hokkaido. The station building is unattended and was assembled from two modified shipping containers; in fiscal 2014 it averaged 444 passengers a day.
