Location

History

Suruga-Tokuyama Station opened on 12 April 1931 as one of the original stations of the Ōigawa Railway's Ōigawa Main Line, located in present-day Kawanehon, Haibara District, Shizuoka Prefecture. It has a wooden station building in the line's standard style, with a tile roof, and is staffed by Ōigawa Railway employees, with a ticket window and ticket gate inside as well as a waiting area. Until 30 September 2011 the Kawane-ji-gō service called at the station. Following landslide damage from Typhoon No. 15 to the Ieyama – Senzu section on 24 September 2022, train service to and through the station has been suspended; the substitute bus cannot reach the station because of road constraints, so the replacement bus stop is in front of the Chachamaru ramen shop on National Route 362 nearby.

Notes

Suruga-Tokuyama appears in the promotional video for the song 'Sayonara, Daisuki na Hito' by the duo Hana*Hana. Fiscal-2017 daily boarding averaged 37 passengers, while fiscal-2007 daily boarding averaged 149.
