History
Sugito-Takanodai Station opened on 26 August 1986 on the Tobu Railway Nikkō Line, at Takanodai-Higashi 1-chōme, Sugito, Kitakatsushika District, Saitama Prefecture. It is the only railway station in Sugito and, on the Nikkō Line, the second-newest station after Itakura-Tōyōdaimae Station. From 19 March 2003 it began serving through trains from the Teito Rapid Transit Authority (Eidan) Hibiya and Hanzōmon lines and the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line, and the timetable revision of 18 March 2006 sharply reduced the number of trains to and from Asakusa. LED train-departure displays and elevators were installed at the concourse and platforms on 25 March 2009, some ticket gates became PASMO-compatible in 2010, and station number TN 01 was introduced on 17 March 2012. From 21 April 2017, down-direction limited express trains departing Asakusa after 18:00 also stop there.
Notes
Although it is the only railway station in Sugito, the neighboring Tobu-Dōbutsukōen Station is closer to the town's center, including the former Sugito post-station district.
