History
Shizen'en-mae Station is a station newly built in Setori, Hachiman-chō, Gujō, Gifu Prefecture, on 11 December 1986, when the Japanese National Railways' Etsumi-Nan Line was transferred to the Nagaragawa Railway. It is an unstaffed, ground-level station with a single platform serving one track, with a roofed waiting area near the middle of the platform. There is no automatic ticket machine, and access to the station is from the down-line end of the platform. Its station number is 26, and it lies between the neighboring Gujō-Hachiman Station and Yamada Station.
Notes
The station's name derives from the nearby Gujō-Hachiman Shizen'en (an outdoor-learning and camping facility), and it was one of the stations newly opened to provide access to that facility at the time of the third-sector transfer to the Nagaragawa Railway.
