Location
History
Shinza Station opened on 22 March 1997, the day the Hokuhoku Line itself opened. Operated by the third-sector Hokuetsu Express, the station serves the city of Tōkamachi, Niigata and lies 14.4 kilometers from the line's starting point at Muikamachi. It is built around a single ground-level side platform along one bi-directional track and is unattended. In fiscal 2011 it averaged 102 passengers a day; Tōkamachi Elementary School and Tōkamachi Junior High School stand nearby.
