History

Shin-Uwagoromo Station opened on 31 January 1988 as a station on the Aichi Loop Line. During planning it was provisionally called Tsukasa Station. In fiscal 1989 the platform was extended from a two-car length to a four-car length; the downbound platform was completed on 24 March 2007, and with the doubling of the track between Mikawa-Toyota and Shin-Toyota on 27 January 2008 it became a station with two opposed platforms serving two tracks. From 17 March of that year, station staff have been present on weekday mornings only, and ticket vending machines were also installed. The "TOICA" IC card became usable from 2 March 2019. It is an elevated station located in Tsukasachō, Toyota, and carries station number 11.

Notes

On 13 May 2026 it was announced that Homex had bid for the naming rights to the station's secondary name, making this one of the instances of the secondary-station-name sponsorship program getting under way on the Aichi Loop Line.
