History
Shin-toyosu Station opened on 27 March 2006 as a stop on the Yurikamome elevated automated guideway in Kōtō, Tokyo. The station's name — "new Toyosu" — was finalised on 28 April 2005, after the working title Toyosu (2); it was chosen because land-readjustment work and private development were creating a new town in the surrounding area. The station is numbered U-15 and consists of an elevated island platform serving two tracks.
Notes
The station's working name during planning and construction was simply "Toyosu (2)"; the final "Shin-Toyosu" was selected in April 2005 to signal the area's character as newly created urban land.
