Location

History

Shin-Kashiwa Station opened on 21 July 1983 on the Tōbu Noda Line (now the Tōbu Urban Park Line) at Shin-Kashiwa 1-chōme, Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. Before opening, the local working name was "Nadogaya Station" after the older district name to the east, but because the area's place name was expected to change from Nadogaya to Shin-Kashiwa, the present name was adopted. Station numbering on 17 March 2012 assigned the code TD 25. An elevator was added in March 2011, and from July 2022 the station underwent a major Tōbu refresh that touched the concourse, stairs, toilets and the area under the elevated tracks. The EQUiA Shin-Kashiwa retail facility opened on 18 November 2022, and fixed platform-edge barriers were installed in July 2023.

Notes

Until renamed during construction, the station was locally known by the working name Nadogaya — the old district name still in use east of the tracks.
