Location

History

Shimo-Ichida Station opened on 18 March 1923 and is served by the Iida Line, in the town of Takamori, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture. The station passed to JR Central with the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, and a new station building was completed in February 2009. The unattended stop has a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track 135.6 kilometres from the line's starting point at Toyohashi, and recorded an average of 62 boarding passengers per day in fiscal 2016.
