History
Shiku Station is an elevated single-island-platform station on the Saitama New Urban Transit Ina Line — the rubber-tyred "New Shuttle" people mover — at Komuro, Ina-machi, Kitaadachi District, Saitama Prefecture, with station number NS10. It opened on 22 December 1983, and Suica IC card service began on 18 March 2007. The platform layout is a single-track-through design with trains using right-hand running.
Notes
The hill west of the station is locally known as "Musen-yama" because Kokusai Denwa (now KDDI) sited a pre-war communications facility there. The site was decommissioned at the end of the Shōwa era and is now designated under Saitama Prefecture's "Green Trust" conservation programme — buildings have gone up on parts of the former facility, but the area retains its forested character.
